Yup, Mitchel is a Game Boy. He will only play it at home though. (because outside, the Walkman or other portable music cassette player gets to keep him occupied. also, there's radio & TV at home for music source) But when he does, he will have that common game boy fever - highly focused to get distracted or able to unconciously multi-task while playing. Among other games he will play would be the Computer, Atari, Sega and Board Games. He loves visiting the Archades too. But what he loves most is being introduced to Traditional Games. It's unbelievable that my house still have that Nintendo handheld console, including the game catridges - still working! Though the color of the cosmetic surface is getting tinted and the screen protector is gone. Now my sister plays it. She's considered the 3rd generation (millenium), because that console was passed down by our uncle (80s), and from us (90s). All this memories made me feel like a kid again! The only game Mitchel plays which I never experienced with is the Atari, because that's real late 70s - 80s stuff! (I'm a late 80s child) That's classic, the pioneer to digital games. Mitchel's new (theme) song to his playlist would be Digital Love by Daft Punk, which was introduced by Johan. The lyrics really suits him A LOT. The music reminds him of Video Killed The Radio Star, among other retro music resemblance. You can totally imagine him singing it out loud and groovin' to it when it strikes his mood, regardless of locations. (public or private) To me, I discovered that song thru watching Interstella: 5555, an animated movie featuring Daft Punk's Discovery Album. It's also my fave song, especially cause Shep (my new heroic character love) has his screen time for it. I can't believe it was released in 2003 and I only discovered it this year! (6 years late!) The idea is totally like my idea for this series. Daft Punk & association rocks for sharing many commons with me! | Believe me, the sun always shines on TV Last night I was wondering, how would MITCHEL look like when he grows older:   left is his 14 years old current form, the right is how I imagined him as a young adult Probably not much difference to you guys, cause he tends to be baby face, or have that forever young aura. (also, I wanted a Morten Harket (Aha's frontman) feel to him >/////<) Obviously getting older makes your face (at least, in drawing form) looks more narrow, sharp and long. Perhaps I failed to draw his adult form to have more squintty eyes. (at least his eyebrows, eye pupil & eye reflection are a bit different) :P Okay, I lied. I already know how MITCHEL would look like as an adult since the earliest period I created his series. (2006 - 2007) But the general picture above was made last night for everyone to see for fun. (teaser version only) XD I brought this topic up, because it manages to cheer me up. ;__; I couldn't bother about making a post or anything for the 09/09/09 date. (yeah, many got married on that day, good for them!) 2009 is another depressing year for me. The ONLY thing that keeps me going & the reason to live is THIS. I'm also happy that I can FINALLY discovered what are my signature style in drawing. The obvious one should be the eyes, I tend to draw the main eye reflection with lines and don't make them stay in the eye iris - looks as if a substance is stuck on the eyes, HAHAHAHAHA, I'm awful. Another one will be the obvious adam apple for all male characters I draw. I purposely do that so people won't confuse them with female or traps, and most importantly to distinguish them that men should be manly, whether they are cute, underage or not.
